Hi! Welcome! Thanks so much for joining me here, in this new space.
I don’t know what it’s going to look like exactly, but I am curious and eager to see where we end up! Join in! JOIN IN! (iykyk) I’ve already changed the name twice and that may happen yet again, fair warning lol.
It can be difficult to start something new, especially if it means something to you. And yet, challenging as it may be… there’s SO much to learn in doing something new. No matter the outcome, wanted or unwanted, there’s always much to learn… About yourself, others and the world. I look forward to learning more about myself, about you and about this world that we live in.
The main question I’m pondering here is how can we, People of the Global Majority, THRIVE in a world that was designed to use and discard us?
Listening to folks dismiss Indigenous cultures, traditions and histories all over the world, easily and too often unconsciously, it’s easy to see that this colonial capitalist white supremacist delusion runs deep and runs wide, globally. Say what you will about any other empire in history, but none has brought the entire planet to it’s knees quite like this before now. Like everyone on the internet likes to say, we could have been eating mangoes on the beach and instead we’ve chosen taxes, 40hr work weeks and letting some people starve while others gorge.
It seems clear that not only are we suffering, but almost every living thing is impacted by our refusal to confront our past and integrate it so that we can choose how we want to proceed. Instead, we live in dissonance where we cannot thrive. Disconnected from ourselves, each other and the Earth we live on, we cannot heal. Without healing, we cannot thrive.
In this bright future, you can't forget your past.

I don’t have any answers. lol. I wish I did. I do know that there’s something my instincts tell me is a good place to start. Because there’s not much the CCWSD (colonial capitalist white supremacist delusion) despises more than seeing those it has deemed unworthy, THRIVE! And I have a feeling that when we, those thrust into the margins because we’re Black & Brown, disabled, Queer & Trans, fat, poor… when WE center our own thriving and claim the healing, the joy, the rest that we deserve in whatever ways we can… then a little bit more of this delusion fades.
Even just a little more connection with ourselves and with each other dissolves a little more of it, moment by moment. So that’s where I’m starting. How about you?
Fuck surviving, I want to prosper and flourish, I want us to THRIVE! I will accept nothing less for our collective liberation.
